New Agreement with Canada Post Means Discounted Rates for UBC

UBC has signed two new agreements with Canada Post for Smart Mail and Parcel Services, which will mean discounted rates for many users.

Existing users will experience an overall improvement in discounted rates with little or no change to terms of services. The new agreement has many benefits for faculty and staff including:

  • Discounted Rates: New discounted rates will be automatically applied to all UBC accounts
  • Dedicated resources: Canada Post will have dedicated representatives for the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses that will provide support as well as set-up for new user accounts.

Please note that new accounts should be set up with UBC's Canada Post account managers directly to take advantage of the university's discounted rates (i.e. do not set up accounts through the Canada Post online service portal).
