Business Expense Rules will go live on April 1, 2022

In October 2021, we invited UBC members to review the proposed Business Expense Rules and provide their comments. We want to thank the community again for the valuable feedback.  

The new Business Expense Rules have now been updated and approved and will be available to the UBC community on Friday, April 1, 2022 on the UBC Finance website. In the meantime, you are welcome to review the Business Expense Rules document (PDF) in advance to prepare and familiarize yourself with the updated rules, which will come into effect on April 1, 2022.

These rules form the framework for incurring and reimbursing UBC business related expenses and help ensure the university uses public funds reasonably, appropriately, and efficiently.
