Sahar Mirkhosravi joins Treasury as Tax Analyst

We are pleased to announce that Sahar Mirkhosravi will be joining the Treasury team as Tax Analyst (Term) starting August 1,2024, to cover for Kelly Ren’s maternity leave.

Sahar is joining us from UBC Athletics & Recreation, where she was working as a Financial Analyst.  Previously, Sahar was connected with UBC Library, and prior to that, the Faculty of Medicine. Sahar has gained over 13 years of work experience at UBC, and we believe that her skills and knowledge will be a great asset to not only tax, but the entire Treasury team. 

Sahar’s educational background is as diverse as her work experience.  With a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a BA in French Literature under her belt, Sahar decided to nurture her passion for data and numbers. In 2022, she obtained a Certificate in Data Science from UBC Extended Learning, and also began doing accounting courses from Athabasca University. Sahar is currently working to obtain her CPA designation.

Outside of work, Sahar enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling to new places, exploring different cultures, and learning new languages. Please join us in welcoming Sahar to the Treasury team!
