UBC’s first report on fighting against forced labor and child labor in Supply Chains now available
UBC is proud to release its inaugural report under the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.
This project, led by VP Finance & Operations’ Finance & Integrated Services, collaborated with departments across the university to highlight our commitment and efforts to eliminate forced and child labour from our supply chains in accordance with Canada's new legislation, the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act, effective January 1, 2024.
This report outlines the initiatives that were undertaken during the previous fiscal year, to help identify and assess risks associated with forced labour and child labour within our own supply chains, as well as forthcoming actions.
