UBC IMANT Shares University's First Endowment Carbon Footprint Report
UBC Investment Management Trust (UBC IMANT) has created and shared the first carbon footprint report for the university's Endowment.
As directed by UBC's Board of Governors, IMANT has been spearheading carbon footprinting efforts and implementing principles of Responsible Investing, with a particular focus on climate risk and carbon dioxide emissions. The UBC Endowment Carbon Footprint Report describes activities undertaken in 2020 as well as initial emissions estimates, and establishes a baseline for evaluating progress against the university's ambitious goal of reducing its carbon footprint 45% by 2030.
