Preparing for FY25 Q2 Forecast: What you need to know

In preparation for the FY25 Q2 forecast in Adaptive Planning, please review the following Q2 2025 Guidelines and References.

For Finance Directors, please complete the Q2 2025 Quarterly Report excel template to support your unit’s submission and submit your report in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Teams channel on October 15, by noon. Note for Q2, the Interfund transfer to non-operating funds and related spend information will need to submitted earlier on September 27 (separate template to be provided on September 18).

Some units may have earlier internal deadlines and commence the Q2 forecast process prior to September actuals are being loaded in Adaptive Planning.

Please note: UBC campus-wide login (CWL) is required to access the guidelines and templates.

Adaptive Planning

Adaptive Planning will be available for editing, starting October 4 and closes on October 11 at 4:00 pm. The Adaptive version that units will be updating is Forecast Working.

Adaptive Planning is currently available for early users. For early users, please note the following:

• The early version of Forecast Working will not have September actuals or September Workforce data.
• Units will need to re-enter/reflect their data (including Workforce adjustments) once the official Forecast Working version for Q2 is made available in October. All previous data for Workforce and September forecast will be replaced. 

Zoom forecast update session

The FP&A team will be hosting a Zoom Q2 Forecast Session on September 16. Zoom invites were previously sent out the to the Finance community. If you have not received an invitation and would like to attend, please reach out to budget@finance.ubc.ca.
