Preparing for FY25 Q1 Forecast: What you need to know

In preparation for the FY25 Q1 forecast in Adaptive Planning, please review the following Q1 2025 Guidelines and References.

For Finance Directors, please complete the Q1 2025 Quarterly Report excel template to support your unit’s submission and submit your report in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Teams channel on July 18, by 4:00 pm.

Some units may have earlier internal deadlines and commence the Q1 forecast process prior to June actuals are being loaded in Adaptive Planning.

Please note: UBC campus-wide login (CWL) is required to access the guidelines and templates.

Adaptive Planning

Adaptive Planning will be available for editing, starting July 8 and closes on July 17 at 4:00 pm. The Adaptive version that units will be updating is Forecast Working.

As in the previous year, Adaptive Planning will be made available for early users on June 10. For early users, please note the following:

• The early version of Forecast Working will not have June actuals or June Workforce data.
• Units will need to re-enter/reflect their data (including Workforce adjustments) once the official Forecast Working version for Q1 is made available in July. All previous data for Workforce and June forecast will be replaced. 

Zoom forecast update sessions

The FP&A team will be hosting two Zoom Q1 Forecast Updates Sessions. Zoom invites were sent out the week of June 3 to the Finance community. If you have not received an invitation and would like to attend, please reach out to budget@finance.ubc.ca.
