In memory of March Cheng

It is with profound sadness that we have learned of the passing of our dear friend and colleague March Cheng.  

March started within the UBC Payroll Operations Team in 2012 as a Payroll SME and was promoted into a Benefits Team Lead role in 2014. In 2018 she joined the IRP Implementation team and then transitioned to the ISC after Workday go live in 2020. She was a valued team member of the ISC and played a significant role in implementing Workday at UBC.  

March consistently made a positive impact on every team she was a part of. Her knowledge of payroll was second to none, and she was known for her dedication and willingness to do whatever necessary to get the work completed. 

I had the pleasure of working closely with March during the IRP Implementation. I always valued her insight into any problems and challenges the team was facing, and appreciated her candid and direct approach. We will all miss her deeply.
