Josephine Shen joins the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team as a Financial Analyst

Josephine Shen is joining the Comptroller’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team as a Financial Analyst on November 7, 2022, reporting to Entela Ifti, Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.

In her new role, Josephine will play a key role in developing the Strategic Initiatives’ multi-year forecasting model and maintaining various financial models (i.e. Contingency and PAEI) at UBC.

With 12 years of experience at UBC Faculty of Medicine (FoM), Josephine brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and an in-depth understanding of non-operating funds. Over the past two years, she was in a term Senior Financial Analyst role and worked firsthand with the FoM Leadership Team.

Josephine holds a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of California, Irvine in addition to a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Langara College and her CPA, CGA designation.

Josephine loves to travel and always makes time for museums and art galleries. She is also a regular at the VanDusen Botanical Garden and an avid yoga practitioner.
