Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Report

UBC recognizes the importance and urgency of eradicating forced labour and child labour from global supply chains, in alignment with human rights and fundamental freedoms. As an institution deeply committed to shaping a better world, UBC supports the goals of the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act that came into effect on January 1, 2024, to implement Canada’s international commitment to combat forced labour and child labour.

This report outlines the initiatives undertaken during the previous fiscal year to identify and assess risks associated with forced labour and child labour within our own supply chains, as well as forthcoming actions.

As per the Act, this report will be updated as of May 31 each year.
