Reporting

UBC’s Board of Governors receive regular reporting on different aspects of the Endowment.

Investment reports containing details of each endowment pool, such as fund holdings and investment performance against benchmarks, are presented quarterly by UBC Investment Management. Annual reports are published on the UBC Investment Management and available to the public.

Investment results, prepared by independent third-party consultants, are reviewed against benchmarks that consider the need to produce regular income as well as grow the university’s endowment capital.

The Board of Governors also receive reporting on the number and total value of the Capital and Stabilization accounts spending rates, and any other additional information requested by the Board. The Endowment is reviewed and audited by UBC’s external auditor annually in accordance with accounting standards.
