Closing the front counter reception on the fifth floor of TEF 3 

Effective February 28, the front counter reception on the fifth floor of Technology Enterprise Facility 3 (TEF 3) will be closed. This closure is part of our ongoing review of resources, programs, and processes to improve efficiencies and continuous improvement. 

For guests that require access to the restricted fifth floor office space, please use the phone at the reception desk and a member of our team will meet and permit access.  

As of April 30, 2025, access to the fifth floor by elevator will be locked and guests will need to buzz in from the ground desk to gain access to the floor. 

The safe for physical deposit drop offs will continue to be available until April 30, 2025. Groups that use this service will need to contact Diwen Gu, Manager, Treasury Cash (diwen.gu@ubc.ca) in Treasury to discuss alternative arrangement prior to April 30.
