On January 6, 2025, we’ll be launching the new UBC Finance website for the public and the UBC Finance Portal for UBC employees. The new structure makes it easier to navigate, with a dedicated external site for public-facing information and a secure Finance Portal for internal resources, tailoring information for UBC’s diverse audiences.

The UBC Finance Website will continue to exist on finance.ubc.ca with improved navigation, simplified content, and adherence to the latest website accessibility standards. The information has been clarified for a general audience.
UBC Finance Portal
The UBC Finance Portal is where you’ll find all the key financial information you need as a UBC employee. To enhance security, the portal is built on SharePoint which requires active CWL credentials. Extra login layers protect sensitive information by ensuring only authorized users can access the portal, reducing the risk of data breaches. These added steps may take a moment longer, but they significantly boost the security and reliability of our information.
Benefits of the new UBC Finance Portal include:
- Enhanced security: Financial information requires the highest levels of protection. The portal uses secure authentication methods, such as CWL logins, to ensure authorized user access.
- Compliance and confidentiality: The portal meets compliance standards for handling financial data, ensuring that information remains confidential and is managed according to university policies.
- Centralized access: A single platform eliminates the need for scattered resources across multiple sites. Employees can find everything in one place, improving efficiency and reducing confusion.
- Future-ready framework: Moving to a secure and flexible platform positions us to adapt to UBC’s roadmap of introducing a suite of Microsoft 365 apps into our technology environment.
