ePAF Training This course is designed for departmental administrators who submit hires, terminations, and job changes to Human Resources and Payroll. Info & registration
External Reporting - FSP Our funding often requires reporting to governments, granting agencies and donors. Learn who can help with these requests and what you can do to ensure the reports are complete and accurate. Info & registration
Facilities - FSP This module discusses how to initiate changes to space, repairs, renovations and how to find rooms for special functions.  Major changes, including capital projects, are also reviewed. Info & registration
Faculty Planning - FSP See how your faculty’s strategic plan and targets influence the development of the 5-year plan, the components of the plan, and how departmental resources are aligned to achieve success. Info & registration
FMS Certification Exercise This is the last step in acquiring Data Entry access to FMS Live. After completion of Introduction to Accounts Payable and Introduction to General Ledger Journal Entry, participants are required to assess their knowledge and test their data entry skills. Hyperion Forecast This course covers the user expectations and timing of the operating report, reviews the skills introduced in Hyperion New User Training. Info & registration
Hyperion Fund Transfer Learn how to process single-line and multi-line funding transfers in Hyperion Planning. Info & registration
Hyperion Lab The Hyperion Lab session benefit users who need a refresher on Hyperion features and/or functionalities pertaining to the Forecast, Plan, Fund Transfer or Smart View.  Info & registration
Hyperion New User Training This class introduces the concepts and functionalities of Hyperion Planning and provides hands-on training to enter, adjust and review data.  Info & registration
Hyperion Plan/Budget Training This class teaches users how to update the annual operating budget in Hyperion Planning.  Info & registration
Hyperion Smartview Learn how to connect to Smart View, navigate through Web Forms, analyze data in Hyperion Planning and create ad-hoc reports. Info & registration
Internal Reporting - FSP Better reporting will lead to better decision making. This course provides guidance and examples of what a good departmental month end reporting package should include.   Info & registration
Intro to UBC Accounts Payable Policies & Procedures Get a basic understanding of UBC accounts payable policies and procedures. This course is offered online through Connect. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for Introduction to Accounts Payable and Introduction to Smart Forms. Download File
Introduction to Accounts Payable This course is a requirement for FMS Live certification. It is one of the steps needed to become certified to use UBC’s Financial Management System (FMS Live) to enter or review data within an FMS certified department. Introduction to Reporting Tools nVision & PS Query This course is a requirement for FMS Live reviewer certification. Learn how to run nVision reports and PeopleSoft (PS) Queries in the FMS Live system and more. Introduction to Smart Forms Get an overview of the major features and components of the web-based application Smart Forms for processing requisitions for payment. Take this course if your department is not FMS certified and wishes to use Smart Forms instead of the manual requisition for payment forms. Info & registration
Inventory & Capital If your department has stock on hand or several pieces of equipment or computers, you will be interested in the best practices discussed in this course concerning tracking and managing inventory and assets. Info & registration
Navigating FMS nQuery This course is a requirement for FMS Live reviewer certification. Get an introduction to FMS nQuery, UBC’s read-only financial database. Delivered online through Connect, this course provides information and helpful hints on how to efficiently navigate within FMS nQuery. UBC Accounting 101 Delivered online through Connect, this course is an introduction to UBC’s accounting practices and structure for UBC employees who process financial transactions or review financial information. Learn about basic accounting rules and accounting principles, UBC's accounting structure, chartfields, and funds used at UBC. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for Introduction to Accounts Payable, Introduction to General Ledger and Journal Entry, and Introduction to Smart Forms. Download File

Learn how to retrieve and review month end reports, PG statements, balance sheets, roll up reports by account and fund, and salary/wage related reports.
