Bell Mobility is a UBC provider of mobile phones, tablets and cellular services.
Bell Mobility has the largest mobile network in Canada, covering more than 35 million Canadians from coast to coast and continues to be one of the largest wireless operators in Canada. On June 11, 2020, Bell announced the launch of Canada's largest 5G wireless network, offering unprecedented mobile data speeds and Canada's broadest selection of 5G-capable smartphones.
Bell Mobility has also provided UBC with Employee Purchase Plan (EPP) for UBC Faculty & Staff. Savings advantage for individuals who pay for their own mobility plan. Options include Bring Your Own Device plans or to procure a device through Bell Mobility (Smartpay & Smartpay w/ Device Return Option).

Turbo hubs, Turbo Sticks, Modems & Tablets:
- UBC has the option to access its smartphone data pool through a data access plan.
- Smartphone, Voice-Only, Bell Push to Talk and Data Access Plans are available to UBC with either device subsidy rate and/or a bring your device (BYOD) rate. Smartphone, Voice-Only and Push to Talk Plans come with a port-in credit (when transitioning to Bell from another provider on a 3-year term) and a hardware credit, which is deducted from the cost of a device on a 3-year term.
Bell Push to Talk (instant Communication):
- UBC can utilize Bell’s industry leading Push to Talk service on smartphones and voice-only devices. The service may be added as a feature to a smartphone or voice-only plan, thus allowing employees who carry both a cellular and radio device to consolidate the services onto a single device. Bell Push to Talk can also be a standalone plan.
