Workday Adaptive Planning Replacing Hyperion in Summer 2023

Hyperion will be retired and replaced by Workday Adaptive Planning in the summer of 2023.

In 2021, UBC embarked on the journey to replace Hyperion, a legacy planning solution used to produce the university’s Quarterly Financial Reports and the Future Year Budget, with Workday Adaptive Planning. 

The Adaptive Planning implementation will reduce reliance on manual systems and streamline budgeting and forecasting, while also capturing more detailed finance information and in-depth reporting. Adaptive will also provide greater accuracy and visibility of the University’s financial position to support decision making across the university.
