UBC Signs New Agreement with Staples Business Advantage

In November 2018, UBC’s Financial Operations team was pleased to sign a new agreement with Staples Business Advantage (SBA).

UBC has been working with SBA as a preferred vendor since 2003, but the new contract has been expanded to include office/copy paper, increasing cost benefits to the institution.

Existing users of Staples Business Advantage will experience little or no change, although consumers of office supplies at UBC are encouraged to take advantage of the new contract by ordering their materials and paper through eway.ca – SBA’s online ordering platform. Delivery and optional billing will continue to be managed through the UBC Bookstore.

As part of the agreement UBC will have streamlined access to a wide range of competitively-priced, commonly consumed office supplies, paper, and related items, as well as value-added and sustainability benefits and dedicated Account Managers.

As part of the Integrated Renewal Program (IRP), the online Staples Business Advantage catalogue will soon be accessible for the UBC community through Workday, and more information will be available for users as that project moves closer to implementation.
