Central Finance Teams Launch "Finance Update"

As the university prepares for Workday, UBC's central finance teams — Comptroller, Treasury, and Finance & Operational Excellence — are sharing information on key changes and mapping out business process adjustments that are needed to support our community.

This information is outside of UBC's Integrated Renewal Program (IRP), but is critical in preparing the university for a successful transition, and a new channel called Finance Update has been created to support UBC.

This new Finance Update will be sent each Friday to consolidate and streamline communications to UBC's finance community from our central finance functions, including:

  • Purchasing
  • Payroll
  • Budgeting and Reporting
  • Cash
  • Etc.

The first distribution of this message was sent on September 18, 2020, to users of UBC's financial systems and recipients of annual year end communications. If you did not receive the distribution but would like to be included in the future, please email finance@vpfo.ubc.ca.
